Thanks! It's been some work but it was so worth it. I just wish there were as many aftermarket parts for my car as there are for the Yaris.

Domo s/c switch box

The Domo-kun engine cover I made last year does not fit over the s/c (cry) and I really did not want to cut it up. I've been missing my mascot so I decided to make a small Domo shrine for car -- this "custom enclosure" for my supercharger activation switch.

I started with a plain clear plastic box and teensy Domo figure from Target. The decoration is mostly paint marker -- paint fumes ftw baby! :rok:

I did it in this style because I like the "steampunk" look and plan to add more metalli… Continue

Well Lt Noogie just asked me if it was running alright and here was my answer: "oh heellllllllll yeeaah its runnin' well, WHWHOOOOOOmmmm, lol!"

That's what I say now, but tbh I drove that car like it was made of glass or something for a day or two. However I have gradually gotten braver and finally went full throttle up the onramp to the highway yesterday... the compressor spun up smooth as silk as I turned onto the ramp (right where I would normally bog a bit in 2nd gear) then pulled hard thro… Continue

ok, I believe I'm on the right track! Did not work on it at all the last couple days, just thought about it and made up a list of things to try. AND tonight it started fine, revved freely, s/c clutch engages and fuel controller led come on!!! x-D yay

BUT it idles very rough then dies if I let off the gas, so still some work to do

Looks like the main issue has been a leak between the intake and cylinder head--after reading those frakking factory repair manuals until I actually understood theContinue

Well, my stupor-charger adventure has gone right down the toilet! The car starts but will not stay running for more than a few seconds--makes no difference if the s/c is hooked up or not. It's as if the fuel is being cut off, but since I can hear the fuel pump working I hate to speculate any more than that.

I replaced the broken camshaft timing oil control valve, a very simple operation--no effect.

I've been over and over and over the wiring, comparing the original, updated, and factory manual… Continue
